The Puma PC Software is a unique, user friendly multi windows platform for the performance, storage and analysis of the respiratory muscle strength measurements of PImax (MIP), PEmax (MEP) and SNIP (Sniff Nasal Inspiratory Pressure). In addition, Puma PC Software offers the user features such as graphical displays, predicted values, printing formats, incentives, trending, post medication or exercise comparisons and the important fatigue indicators of MRPD (Maximum Rate of Pressure Development), MRR (Maximum Rate of Relaxation) and Tau.
An optional addition to the MicroRPM (Respiratory Pressure Meter), the Puma PC Software is a modern database management tool with powerful search and sort facilities. The software displays and stores all real-time mouth and nasal pressure curves, enabling the healthcare professional to monitor the quality of the technique and test. In addition, the long term trending of a patient's respiratory muscle condition through the trend graph and predicted values, and the ability to overlay one test upon another previous test, provides a very powerful tool for comparisons over time.
The use of the PC or laptop enables A4 colour printing onto a normal printer, whilst the Export to Word and Export to CSV facilities enables patient tests to be communicated via email or transferred to Excel spreadsheet, respectively. This 32 bit software package, compatible with Windows 2000 and above operating systems, is easy to set up and arrange, employing common click, drag and scale functions.
